Falcon wirth higher port density

Now the number of DVB-ASI ports within a Falcon can be increased up to 32.

Now cards for the Falcon are available. The QUAD-ASI-Input and QUAD-ASI-Output support 4 ASI interfaces on one card. It increases the port density of a Falcon by a factor of four.
The QUAD-ASI-Input supports ASI IN redundancy (A/B switch) as well as using a backup end-to-end link over a broadband network.
The QUAD-ASI-Output supports the Automatic Protection Switching. Both cards support a MPEG-2 transmission up to 160 Mbit/s using ATM AAL1 with or without AAL1-FEC.

Together with these new cards a new firmware for the Falcon, version 2, is avaible and need.
