WDR chooses atecom GmbH as DVB-T equipment supplier
In March 2004, atecom GmbH successfully deployed DVB-T network adapter equipment to support WDR pilot project for digital terrestrial television (DVB-T) covering the Cologne surrounding area. atecom GmbH announced today, that WDR has selected atecom to be its supplier for DVB-T products to upgrade its expanding transmission infrastructure.
The DVB-T transmission will begin on November 9, 2004 and will bring DVB-programming known as "all-over TV" to millions of households in Ruhr Basin. For this purpose the regional broadcast stations located in Essen, Gummersbach, Hohe Warte, Dortmund, Dusseldorf and later in Scholven will be equipped with network adapters of Falcon product line.
